DIRECTV / New Channels

Directv periodically launches new content offerings. During different moments in the history of Directv, we have had the privilege of launching several of its specialized channels like Golf Channel or the Channel of the Spanish Football League.

Challenge

To fulfill in a short time and with little investment, the task of attracting new subscribers and new advertisers in Latin America.

Solution

To massify the new channels, we opted for a strategy of high impact messages: images that defy logic and force us to reconsider what we are looking at.

Cultural Code: The impossible object

Impossible objects exist only as optical illusions on the three known dimensions. The impossible object expresses the old ambition to overcome reality with fantastic but plausible images. The Swedish Oscar Reutersvärd is the father of impossible objects, however, most associate them with the Dutch M.C. Escher, who popularized them at the beginning of the 20th century.
