Danilo Medina is the Dominican president with more popularity in the last decades. However, the Constitution did not allow him to be re-elected. To this end, an unprecedented agreement was reached between the two main parties in the country (PLD-PRD), in order to allow re-election for a new period of four years. Our work consisted of formulating this alliance and proposing it to the Dominican people. The majority adopted the vision of a “Shared Government”, a great national pact on the most relevant issues for the population. Under that umbrella, Danilo Medina was reelected with 62% of the votes, a unique case in the Dominican Republic.
